CNN reported that natural gas prices were sharply up, largely due to
increased demand generated by colder weather . . . what's wrong with this
picture? God knows I'm generally not in favor of government control of
ANYTHING, but this is clearly an exception. When greedy retailers jack up
the prices of plywood, batteries, etc., in expectation of an impending
hurricane, they are prosecuted for price gouging. How is this any different?
It isn't as if most people have a CHOICE in the matter. Of course, they
might install a coal burner, as I did, but for many people this isn't an
option, and indeed, even the price of coal is up, reflecting the increased
fuel costs associated with transporting it. No, for most people, the choice
is to pay, or freeze. So, why don't our illustrious leaders step in to put a
stop to this immoral price gouging? Is it, perhaps, because the big oil
companies buy their agendas with our corrupt 'Republicrat' politicians?
Consider this carefully the next time you think that a vote for anyone other
than a Republican or a Democrat is 'wasted'. In fact, just the opposite is
true. Jointly, these 'two' parties comprise the most corrupt political
machine in history. They have long ago abandoned event the slightest pretext
of representing the will or wellbeing of the citizens of this country. Our
elections have become as meaningless as those in the former Soviet Union or
Saddam's Iraq. Nobody can turn this around except YOU.
