I agree with you both, including "EN" in the header could encourage
others to state the language in which they post, groups whitout
a language indicator (DE, NL, FR or BE) can be considered
English spoken.
A few years ago the same issue was discussed and some things have
improved, others didn't (nfo-files for instance)
The discussion focussed mainly on FTD and an effort was made to
educate posters using FTD, this failed.
I'm willing to take part in this discussion again, however not in
this group because it is a binaries group and the retention of
this group on my server is insufficient to properly take part
in any discussion.
