Our group is having problems replacing the tie rod ends (Heim joints)
when the get too much play and allow ski wander. The end that is out over
the ski will start to unscrew and then will break off. We have used heat
and plenty of thread juice. After the 3/8" by 24 stud breaks we have to
drill and rethread the alumimum tubing. Thankfully the outer tie rod is the
right handed one. The internal ends are left handed but don't run thru as
much slop and unscrew all the way without breaking.
Has anyone solved this problem?
