Oh, I wish this newsgroup wasn't completely dead. I read a fascinating
article a few weeks ago about what a disaster Flat Sequencing Strategy
has been, artificially forcing flat volumes up at plants, eliminating
flat casing at the carrier's case, and raising prices for mailers.

The thing is that major magazine and catalog printers in the private sector
found a way to co-mingle flats from different mailers before presenting
them to the post office, which turns out to be far more efficient than
what the post office's billions in new equiment has been. There's just
no way for the post office to justify the spending.

I suppose there are no letter carriers on Usenet any more who
might comment.

Adam! OMFG, I can't believe you still post here! Hope all is well with you my old friend. It's been something like 15 years hasn't it? Wow...

Hit me up if you ever want to chat. I'd like to hear how things turned out for you. My email is still agutgopostal at either hotmail or gmail. My own story got *really* wild after I moved away from posting in usenet. It still has a special place in my heart though, even the agut in my emails is from Alt.Games.UnrealTournament :)

Have a great day my friend!
