Back this past April, Donald Grenier abducted a 9 yr. old girl from
here in town (Hartford City, IN). She lives about 2 blocks from the
Dollar Store and that is where she was walking to from her home, in
broad daylight, when this bastard took her.
He kept her tied and gagged inside his van in the garage so that his
sister, whom he lived with in Marion (about 18 miles from here),
wouldn't know (yeah, okay).
The girl managed to escape after being held captive for a little over
24 hours and she ran to a neighbor's house. Thank God the neighbor
recognized her from news reports (what there were of them) and called
the police.
Grenier was arrested on the same day that she escaped and she was able
to pick him out of a line-up (thank God). He was convicted on here in
our county on child moslestation and abducting her. He is currently
residing in an isolated cell in our local county lock-up. (I say put
him in with the rest of them out there because I know what they would
do to him!)
So, anyway, since this dickweed has been in jail, the Marion Police
have been digging around his property. They found a human bone the
size of a thumb and "organic material that has been identified as
human tissue." They found two different pieces of flesh that they
thought to be human. One piece was too fresh to have been lying around
for any length of time and the second piece was badly decomposed. This
tissue was found by a trained dog, btw, the paper also reported. The
dog is supposed to find HUMAN flesh, okay? But today's paper reported
that the second piece of flesh, the decomposing one, is not human,
afterall.
Okay, so they go around the property looking for stuff. They had found
the tissue in some sort of bucket out in the garage and the dog found
the bone buried by the same building.
Well now they have stopping digging and decided to spray the property
with Luminol, a chemical that will glow if it contacts body fluids.
They found splatters on the wall of the garage. They collected the
samples and sent them to a lab for identification.
Okay, now. Because of the finding of these splatters, they have
decided that they shouldn't dig around any more, but have decided to
"expand their investigation to determine if there is any connection
between Grenier and a 9-yr-old girl reported missing in Ohio."
Why would they stop digging around on the property? I bet there are
other body parts buried around there! And why aren't they leaning on
this bastard? They have questioned him ONCE about this whole business.
Of course Grenier didn't say anything, but why stop at just
questioning him ONCE? Give me a break!
Yesterday's paper said that police are investigating the possibility
of Grenier being involved in the disappearence of Tricia Reitler and
Wendy Felton from Indiana Wesleyan college because Grenier lived
within two miles where the two disappeared. These girls disappeared in
'93 and '97 respectively.
They are now trying to link Grenier with the 9-yr-old that is missing
from Ohio, like I said, but they are having trouble making the
connection now. So, they have sortof put this little girl's
disapperance on the back burner, more or less, from what the paper
tells us.
This dickweed is sitting in local county lockup waiting for a
sentancing date. Sentance his ass on what he was found guilty for thus
far and ship him off to the prison where he isn't going to get to stay
in isolation. Let the big boys up there have a go at him. I hope they
kill him! Death by means....you all know my theories on that shit.
My thing is, if they have found a human bone, the size of a teen's or
adult's thumb, along with that piece of flesh (that was fresh), why on
earth have they stopped digging up the property>? Where is the rest of
the body (ies) that these pieces came from? He supposedly lived with
his sister, so how did he do any of that shit like that without her
knowing about it? (the newspapers reported he lived with his mother up
until she sold her property, but have yet to mention the sister in the
public forum) Why aren't they leaning on this sick SOB more then they
are?
I don't know how long its going to take to get the lab results back on
those splatters, but since the luminol glowed, they know its body
fluid, so why stop the digging and just stand around with their tumbs
up their asses? Why aren't they doing more? I just don't unerstand it.
I'm really mad about this whole thing! I know, there's not a damned
thing I can do about it, but I am still pissed off about it all the
same! Let me at this sick SOB for about an hour! *I'll* question him!
I might not get any more from him then the cops did on their venture
of questioning him (which they have only done ONCE), but he would know
that I had been there! GRRRRRRRRRR............
I just don't think the cops are handling this thing the right way, but
maybe I'm wrong. What do you all think about it?
Stormy
>I just don't think the cops are handling this thing the right way, but

I think they should let you at him, Stormy... he'll talk! ;)
It's a sad, sick story. The world we live in, and the thing that
gets me is, when he's sentenced? He won't be going away
for very long. Abduction and molestation get you a slap on
the wrist if you ask me. If he *is* the one who took those
other girls, they'll find out. I'd imagine they must have called
in the FBI by now, since you're talking multiple states.
I heard this morning that a man showed up at the playground
yesterday where the town holds summer camp for kids in
Narragansett. The guy said, "I'm here to pick up him", pointing
to a boy. One of the counselors said, "I have to check the
sheet. You brought your license, right?" He said, "It's in the
car, I'll get it", and he got in the car and left. The counselor
just thought he was walking back to the car, so she didn't notice
when he drove off, but did think enough to mention it to the kid's
mother, who totally freaked out. It wasn't anyone she knew. So,
the police are looking for a man based on the description given
by the counselor.
Scares the shit out of me.
