Old Calabash - what's it made of?

Hey all,

Is there any way to tell the difference between Gypsum, Meerschaum and
Asbestos in an old calabash bowl?

Yes,
At the turn of the century some old pipes were made w/ pressed asbestos
bowls. I'm not sure if I have one and it's kind of worrying. :/

If it's crocidolite you can have mesothelioma with your
carcinoma from tobacco.

I always loved that quote. Its so funny how somthing as
