For some time, collective nouns for animals (or 'terms of venery') of
the ever elusive English language have been a source of interest and
amusement for me - you know; 'a murder of crows', 'a bouquet of
pheasants', 'a congress of baboons', 'an intrigue of kittens' etc. Also,
I just found out that some people have been making up new ones - those
not found in dictionaries. Many of them to designate groups of people;
'a fanfare of strumpets', 'a sequitur of logicians', 'a conflagration of
arsonists' and so on.
I think it's about time for us pipesters to get our very own term. Or
perhaps such a word already exists?
Only thing that came to my mind was 'a dottle of pipe smokers'. Surely
you can think of a better one.
What say you?

PS. Here's a page of such nouns: http://www.ojohaven.com/collectives/
If we can think of a good one, perhaps we could submit it.
Well, since I am the only pipe smoker I actually know, I think a "flake"
would work.

Jeez, you mean I can't be a real pipe smoker just because I have
invested a couple of grand in and regularly smoke several dozen pipes,
I have to hoard tobacco too? I wish someone had told me the membership
requirements were so strict.
