Here is some I got before my trip
Millville: Mobile phone only, No. 07985 373140.
Pipe Shops: Don't bother with Bonds of Oxford Street, Davidoff
of Jermyn Street, or Jayems, 125 Queen Victoria Street, unless
you like being 'ripped off' as an American tourist!
DO visit J. J. Fox & Robert Lewis, 19 St. James's Street
(Manager: Mr. Tim Cox), where you will get excellent service;
Dunhill, 48 Jermyn Street, St. James's, (if you have a
bottomless pocket!); ask for Mr. Marc Burrows, who will assist
you to his utmost ability; then move on to G. Smith & Sons, 74
Charing Cross Road (ask for Mr. Jeremy Cole); next to The Segar
& Snuff Parlour, (a very tiny shop stuffed full of Charatans);
ask for Mr.Robert Good. Address is 27A The Market, Covent
Garden; and finally on to Shervingtons at 337 - 338 High
Holborn, but DON'T buy any tobacco from Shervingtons unless the
price is right for you; the Manager tends to escalate tobacco
prices above normal, so ask for Mr. Phillip Shervington, the
Manager and Director, who is a real 'English Gentleman'.
I regret that due to previous commitments, I will be unable to
conduct you personally to all the favoured establishments and
introduce you to the various managements, on the dates of your
visit.
Yours sincerely,
Peter C. Wiseman, Hon. Secretary & Treasurer, THE PIPE CLUB OF
LONDON.
Dunhill, James J. Fox, and Davidoff are all within a block or 2 of each
other. Millville can be see at the St. Paul's Church open market, just
up the street from Dunhill towards Picadilly Circus.
Be prepared for sticker shock at Dunhill!!
The best place was Segar & Snuff in Covent Garden, Mr. Good is a very
fine fellow, may remember me as I bought a huge Charatan, 2 nice Butz
Choquin, snuff and cigars. His Virginia flakes and Crusting Cake are
excellent, as well as the Keen Scented and Jock's Choice snuff.

Did you hang around the railing and watch the musicians? A few months
earlier and you could have lined my pockets with a few pence.
That's a nice little shop, Mullins and Westley's, with a small area
and lot's of pipe lore......if you get the old guy behind the counter.
I recommend the "Crusting Cake" in the little tins.
