evening greets all from overcast, 48 Western NY (quite a drop from 70ish early afternoon). After dinders, DGT '06 Ashbury in Castello SeaRock G34, tea/read evening "rag". After checking usual sites & latest e-messages.....to the ASP chats via "undernet" & IRC.

Good evening Ed and all ASP people. Long time since I have been on.
Heart attack ,two stints, pacemaker, kidney failure due to a blockage
in the bladder. but I survived. Now the tornado and rain other than
that still the same old guy. Smoking Samuel Gawith's Navy Flake in a
Peterson Irish Sea. You know
Ed I think I started smoking a pipe in 1962 also during my second year
in college. I remember thinking how cool those professors looked
smoking their Canadians. I want to be like those guys. And I did in
more ways than one.

Glad to see you back, John! I, too, had a philosophy professor in college who made it look really cool to smoke a pipe. Also, my Grandfather and Uncle smoked pipes and that had quite an influence on me as you can imagine. Hope your health continues to improve.
