Does anybody make a windproof (NON TORCH) butane lighter?

I love my Zippo for lighting outdoors (in the wind), and my Old Boy
for lighting indoors when I don't have enough matches, but is there a
windproof butane pipe lighter? All the butane "wind proof" lighters
that I can find are the torch type (which I will not use to light a
pipe).

Perhaps it is not possible.... (a wind will blow out any butane flame
that isn't a jet of some sort).

I've been using this, and although it's not as good indoors as a
regular butane or as good outdoors as a regular Zippo, it does work
and will light a pipe in the wind:

It's a butane insert for a Zippo-type case -- if you have a spare
lying around -- with the flame coming out the side like a Zippo pipe
lighter. Although it fits a Zippo case, it does not do so perfectly
(it makes the bottom of the case bulge just slightly compared to the
top). It's not the best lighter, and the flame is a bit inconsistent,
but I've found it works as a compromise. And it was cheap enough that
I don't feel like I've been gypped.

Thank you Brad- that is a great suggestion. I think I can also take
this with me when I fly. I have been afraid to take my Old Boy in
case a TSA inspector mistakes it for a torch lighter (which, of
course, it is not). This would be a butane pipe lighter that would
probably pass (as they allow Zippos), and would work somewhat in the
wind.

Thanks!!!

I HAVE had a TSA troglodyte confiscate my old boy lighter. As he
examined it, he flipped open the lid and allowed butane to jet out for
at least a good 30 seconds (He couldn't figure out how to light it). I
politely asked to speak with the shift supervisor, and lit the lighter,
and explained that it clearly wasn't a torch style lighter. The
supervisor then let me through w/ the lighter.)

Lotus makes a lighter, which I have used for a couple of years now,
called the 2200 series which has a wide, soft flame that has a coil
inside that glows when the flame is going. If the flame blows out, the
coil relights the gas. It also has an angled flame, so it's ideal for
a pipe. Also, if you buy a Colibri Tranzpack (a yellow capsule for
carrying lighters), put your lighter (even torch flames) in the
capsule and screw it shut and put it in your checked luggage, it is
DOT approved. They even put the DOT regulations on the outside of the
capsule, so (hopefully) TSA employees will let it pass without
incident.

Thanks Russ, great suggestions. I usually only travel with carry ons,
but in Feb I will take a long overseas trip and will check my
baggage. That DOT case may be a perfect way to take the old boy and
not worry (or worry less). I will check out the lotus
Best,
