Maybe ya might want to research yourself a little bit or listen to some
of the former Jarheads of the group. There is a wealth of information
out there that will show you the error of your birthday message but we

Ok, I found out that on November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress of
the 13 original Colonies formed a "corps of Marines." So even though
they weren't technically the United States of America yet, that's
considered the traditional birth date. Sorry, everyone!
I get these daily "what happened on this date in history" reminders, and
Monday's was that on July 11, 1798 the US Congress first *officially*
authorized the USMC.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program! ;-)
