Hello to all,

As we get nearer to the first show put on by the Capitol Area Pipe Smokers,
I must say that the response that we have had so far has been incredible!!
When the show was first announced we had 85 tables available. As of last
Sunday we have 15 tables left. Attendees scheduled to be at this show so
far are:

John B. Hayes
Old Virginia Tobacco Company, (Tobacco Barns)
Leesburg Emporium & Smoke Shop
W. Curtis Draper
Knoxville Cigars, (Pipes For Less)
McCranie's Pipe & Tobacco
Hermit Tobacco
Monjure International
The James Island Piper, (Don Seater)
Jack & Kristal's Woodshop
B.A.C. Art Pipes
S.M. Frank & Company, (Bill Feuerbach)
John Eells
Paul, (Whooped em again Jose), Bonaquisti
Sam Learned
De La Ware Pipes, (Bob Herbert)
Tom Colwell
CORPS
Rolando Negoita
Pipe & Tobacco Magazine
UPtown Tobacco
The Piperack
Wallace Pipe Cabinets
Sam Barnett
Ron Colter
Bill Kotyk, (One of the best Micoli pipe collections in existence)
Ben Rapaport, (World renowned expert on Antique Pipes)
Greg Wilkerson
Lee Erck, (if he isn't in the middle of moving)

I'm sure that I have forgotten a couple more, (if I have, please accept my
apology), but it looks like the show is going to be a blast!! I am truly
amazed at the number of pipe makers that will have a presence at the show.
When we were first planning the event, we thought about a "Best Pipe" and
best "Pipe Collection" contest, but due to the large number of pipe makers
attending, we will also be having a "Best Pipe Maker" contest. We will also
have the very talented June Starke, (aka Firedancer), playing during the
show. (For those of you who have never heard June play, the trip is worth
it just to hear her on the Keyboard. June is a very, very talented
musician)

Now for the details....
The show will be on Saturday July 13, 2002 at the Washington Dulles Holiday
Inn from 9:00 - 4:30. For those that would like to come in the night
before, the Holiday Inn is offering a special room rate of $69.00 for any
size room. (Please call the Holiday Inn at 703-471-7411 to reserve your room
and be sure to mention the Washington Pipe Show) We will be having a Friday
Evening Pre-Show Social from 6:30 to 8:30 with snacks and a cash bar.

For more information please feel free to email me at rae...@outdrs.net or

Thanks and happy smoking,
Randy

Darn, why couldn't I have waited to sell the Jeep. I'd have loved to drive
down for this one.

Randy, sounds like it will be a gas. I wish you lots of luck and enjoy.

Hey Randy. It was a pleasure meeting you this weekend. The show sounds great,
but as i said its my daughter's twelfth birthday pool party and I'm the life
guard or I would surely be at your show. I'm sure hoping for next year. If you
know the date please drop me an email. But the list of exhibitors certainly is
outstanding. And this is only the first show! Wow, your club had done *very*
well. BTW, I may not be there but Ming will be with UPtown's!

Stay in touch.

Best,

Buzz

Randy,

I think that should be whooped 'em again Josey (pronounced Joe-Z ), not Jose
(which would be pronounced Ho-Say).

Just wanted to clear that up.
