The State Can ONLY Regulate what it "CREATED" They have the authority to regulate
the Drivers License it created, and no matter if the work "ISSUED" is there or not,
the law is what the legislature intends, not what the judicial system can trick
someone into believeing.

I used art as one form of expression in my youth; from before
pre-school through high school. Even won / placed some state events...
several times. My choice for a media in art for me; either Pen and
Ink, watercolor, charcoal, oil, pastel.

My choice to view others work; Oil, Pastel, Pen & Ink, charcoal,
watercolor.

I, like Rockwell, liked to place a picture in picture and play with
other works of art as well as subject matter in the media, however I
painted abstracts.... was always bold in my opinion of Rockwell to
define his paintings with so much vivid color and expression, almost
to the point of daring the public to look or leave.

Thanks Robert, I'll watch for it. Norman Rockwell is a hero of mine. I'll
enjoy learning more. He was a great artist and an archivist of the human
condition, at least in his own little corner of the world. His love of the pipe
was monumental.

Well, I watched it, but only counted two pipes - the Canadian, of course, but was
that a square-shank bulldog or Rhodesian flashed later in the story?

The bulldog looked like a Comy.
Of course the fire was caused by careless (ab)use of his pipe.

John, (one Canadian who loves Rockwell's work).

A book that I have on Rockwell has several photos of the man with the pipe
shape of choice being a bulldog.

I dunno... it looked an awful lot like a Rhodesian to me. Just to help sort things
out, can you define what you consider a 'bulldog' and a 'Rhodesian'? ;)

Trolling for terror...

Thank you! I was watching the Rockwell program, and said to my wife,
"Hey, he was smoking canadians - now he's got a Rhodesian!" My beloved
spouse, once she figured out I was talking about his pipes, said I was
obsessed. But I'm not obsessed, I'm not! I'm just an average a.s.p.-er.

Oh, I'm not obsessed either--just because I'm constantly looking at
pipes that I can't afford to buy, in hopes of expanding a collection
that takes me more than ten days to go through, and will talk more about
pipes than I will about baseball! Nope, not me!

Not for a million bucks. I usually just say "bulldog/Rhodesian." Much easier
and far less controversial.
