Hi gang, I had a nice bowl of McC 5100 in a Barber Chevin ** paneled
apple (Les Wood ?). I had forgotten about this tobacco. Age has
treated it well! Have a great evening all.

We just finished a large salad fresh from the garden and returned from
the Ice Cream Smuggler where I had a cone of coffee heathbar. Now
enjoying a Grabow Dublin filled with McC's 5115, probably be better with
some age on it but already quite nice, mild, I don't detect much in the
way of "fruit essence".

Hi again,
Granger in a Kaywoodie, white tea on the side. About to put it up and
hit the hay, though. I'm driving my brother to Dallas tomorrow so he can
pick up a car he's going to buy, so I gotta be up early.
Hopefully we'll get some spare time while in Dallas so I can check out
some of the local tobaccania.
G'nite fellas,
Casey
I just finished some 2010 in a Calich billiard/apple. He will be
missed. I'm about to start reading All the Pretty Horses. There has
been enough talk here about McCarthy that I felt behind. I tried to
read this once before but I got confused who was speaking, due to his
minimalism. I saw an interview with him on YouTube where he said it
was obvious. Hmmmm Well maybe after you know who characters are, but
at the beginning of ATPH, you don't, IIRC. I don't know what is up
next, maybe something English.
Hey Jerry, and everyone. I've been through the mill tonight but I'll
relate my long lasting bowl. I've had this huge Tim West freehand
going for hours. It was fillled with Rum Flake balls. It is still
going! This is one massive pipe, kind of a long shank volcano with a
square shank and a bright yellow lucite stem. Yep, they can see me
coming, lol. One great tasting piece of wood. I don't know where Tim
gets his wood but this is good. Of course the pipe is around 25 years
old so who knows what his wood tastes like now. I suspect Tim always
has good wood.
I'll be reading some McCarthy after I'm done with the Shawn Chercover
book I aquired today. Priorities ya know. : )

Hey Col,
Please let me know how ATPH is. I'll be starting Blood Meridian soon.
Have a good one,
Casey
