I noticed that the Olde World Fine Clays website of Stephen Bray is gone. I
was wondering if anyone knows if he has a new site or what the story is with
it closing down. From what I've read he makes very nice reproduction clay
pipes and I was hoping to buy one or at least rummage through his website.

This pretty much sums it up.

Well, doesn't say too much, other than I guess the website no longer
exists? who's bytor.com? and no mention of Bray anywhere...

Thanks for the info, G.

Cheers!

I've seen the note from the service provider at the old website, but what I
wanted to know was if anyone knows if he has a new site. Is he continuing
to make pipes? Does he have phone number or mailing address but no website
now? That's what I was trying to get at.

On Mon, 10 Sep 2007 22:20:13 -0700, CJ Brooks, in tiny little tap shoes,
danced wildly on the keyboard to produce
(in article <rApFi.88480$jH3....@bignews6.bellsouth.net>):

A while ago, I tried both to email Stephen, and called him. As he didn't
reply to either message, I was left to assume that he's out of the clay
pipe business. It's a real shame, too, as his pipes were exceptional and
kept an old tradition of rolled rather than the common slip-cast method
of clay pipe production alive. To my knowledge, no one else is doing
this.

If you get any additional information, please share it here.

Did you do a google search on clay pipe's? I seem
to remember a web site that showed how to make
them.
