Hmm, for years now, I've wanted a pipe made by Mr. Bonaquisti. Now, I'll need
to reconsider. However, if Mr. Bonaquisti would care to send a pipe (perhaps a
magnum sized carved bulldog), I, as a professional pipesmoker (not much money
in this profession), could refute Mr, Tinsky's comments. ;-)

Thanks Charlie... I was going to counter with a really sharp tongued response
to Mark's negative (and obvious jealously motivated) post, but just as I sat
down to type, I saw two Tinsky pipes that were in a recent estate I purchased.
The former owner had said, "you can have these, I was just going to throw them
out anyways".
Remembering his comments made realize that although it may have made me feel
good, a response to Mark's post wasn't really neccessary.

They are however known as a good untilitarian pipe, with about the same amount
of emotional attachment as a corn cob, and excellent for smoking such beloved

Last month I went to the Museum of Modern Art to view the 'Masterworks of
German Expressionism' exhibit. There is a great little Bistro now located in
the basement of MOMA - Cafe/Etc
Mark had me bury one of his pipes in the 3rd potted plant, on the left, as
you enter the cafe. So technically, he has a pipe in the Museum of Modern
Art.

Mark Tinsky
Just got back from NYC, the city that never sleeps, took the red
-eye...... Bribed a guard at the Musuem of Modern Art to let me into
the basement and followed many long corridors that led me to the
door to the in house sewage treatment plant. There I found Paul s
pipe working hard, holding back the open door.
When no one was looking, and believe me no one was even thinking
of looking, I filched the doorstop, I mean pipe, or to be more
exact, briar block with connected holes and a stem, and stuffed it
into the large greatpaocket of my jacket and fled the Met.
I heard muffled laughter behind me as I skedaddled, something like
" You think he took that ugly piece of..... " followed by more
and louder laughter!
Well I now have Maestro Bonaquistis Museum piece in my possesion and
so that no one laughs at it any more I m going to do some
"minor" touch up on it just to bring it up to snuff from the
hard practical use it s been put to.
So later today I will post on Today s work some before and
after shots. DONT MISS IT !
