Thanks
I have two Old Boys, I recommend them highly.
For less than half the cost of an Old Boy you might consider a Xikar
Resource. I bought one a couple weeks ago and it works great.

Hi ken,
Thanks, actually I am considering the Corona Old boy, the classico,
and the dunhill unique as well as Rollagas...too many choices but the
difference in price is massive.
I once considered a Dunhill myself, then I saw the price and considered
how much tobacco that would buy. I bought the Old Boy and a butt load of
tobacco with the difference. Then I bought another Old Boy :-)

I have two Old Boys, and they have worked fine.
I prefer Duponts and matches over both of the above.

Thanks Mike but on the whole I am not a Dupont fan any longer, the
thought of the whole "ping" nonsense and then the proprietary butane
really leave me cold, I have an xtend/maxijet which I think is the
furthestI would go with Dupont, I feel for what they ask price wise
and the above points they are more of a gimmick/jewelery than
something of true utility.
I have read of a few issues with Dunhills but they seem to revolve
around older Rollagas models, but not much of the unique.
Hello Mike,
Thanks for the feedback, personally I don't think I could in good
conscious buy a Dupont regardless of how bullet proof they supposedly
are, the whole nonsense about the "ping" and the proprietary butane
tanks leaves me cold. I consider them more of jewelry than something
of true utility.
The Dunhills I feel just look better and are more reasonably priced, I
have read a few posts dealing with service issues such as yours but
they seemed to deal with older rollagas models, not much on the unique
series in this reagard, and everything on the Corona series lighters
seems to be stellar.
