My first pipe was a German pipe, an Adsorba model 210(a bent pipe with
a nice red color to it)...I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of
this brand or if anyone has ever smoked one.
I couldn't find any website matches or anything for the company.
I was just curious to see what people could tell me about the pipe.
(It wasn't a cheap basket pipe either, it cost 80 DM-, or about $45, so
I was surprised that I couldn't find out anything about it.)

Hi "mem" !

Adsorba is a brand-name of the german DENICOTEA,
they make the most business with filters,
but have also pipes (i.e. Don Carlos for German market).

Homepage:
http://www.denicotea.de/adsorba.htm (only in german)

Mmmnnn . . . the name rings a bell. Does it take special cylindrical
charcoal filters? I'm sure I had a couple a few years ago, and they cost
me around £20 GBP each. Nice pipes. Had trouble getting the filters though.

I've got one that I smoke regularly. Nice pipe, very nice grain, only
problem is it's got a big crack (filled) on the outside bottom of the bowl.
Other than that, I don't know anything about Adsorba pipes.

Cheers

Absorba is a great pipe!! Saw them at RTDA and received them in my shop a
couple of weeks ago. They seem to stay lit forever! The cost is still under
$40 US.

I just received my first Adsorba pipes that I had ordered for my pipe shop
during RTDA last week. They are very well made, light weight and seem to
stay lit effortlessly. They are very reasonably priced at $35 - $40 US.
