I just got a Tonino Jacono Queen E (Volcano? Brandyglass?). Not sure what
to call it.
Anyone else smoke this brand and what's your opinion?

I have a Jacono Knight ( http://tinyurl.com/fk2ja ) and it smokes fine!
Took no time at all to break it in. Good luck with your queen ... uh, wait
a minute, that didn't sound quite right ... well, you know what I meant.

I've never had one, but I've seen some beauties on-line and I've heard
nothing but good things about them. Congrats, Ed!

That's a beauty, Rick. I love the rustication, at least from the
picture.

Yeah, Rick, that is a nice piece of work you have there---let me know
when you're ready to make that one an 'estate'!

I have three, a Queen E Rhodesian, a Queen freehand, and a knight. They
are fantastic pipes.

Great looking pipe. I keep a P&T Database I wrote in FileMaker Pro. Just
before reading asp this evening I was looking at the Tonino Jacono record
and I have your exact pipe's photo saved and checked marked for
consideration to buy. Guess I can mark it SOLD :) Good choice and enjoy!

BTW just "how" can I post my pipe photos as you have done? Is this an asp
feature I overlooked?

I met Him at a pipe show a few years ago.He seemed to speak very little
English at the time. Our conversation was quite short.I also have a
Queen.I'm very happy with It..I'm not sure why but for some reason I
don't seem to see his pipes mentioned very much in discussions
here.They really are great smokers.

I just sent a email to Rick asking how he does this. His page says "ASP
Member Pipes". Is this something we can do here on asp?

That one isn't likely to hit the market any time soon Jack. Its just the
right size, just the right weight, smokes cool as a cucumber, and is part of
my primary rotation ... nope, that baby is stayin' home!

Fantastic! Love how the grain works with that shape. Great find, Ed.

Yeah, Larry that's why I asked, as I don't recall seeing anything here about
them.

I don't think I mentioned in my original post that mine is an estate. First
two bowls had a slight ghost from previous owners aromatic but my 965 seems
to be driving it out and it's smoking very good. About to fire up a 3rd
bowlfull now!
