Dear ASPers,

I have the greatest pleasure to present a new and most promising Italian
pipe maker:
Gabriele Dal Fiume.

As you will hopefully see, Gabriele's pipes are quite unique in a lot of
ways. They show the kind of versatility of style and approach that is quite
rare. A DG pipes can only be recognized as a pipe made by Gabriele Dal
Fiume. Though Gabriele's annual production is way under a hundred pieces,
I'm glad to be able to offer you a choice of 18 of his best pipes made so
far, pipes that have been made in the past year, including one of the most
beautiful Straight Grain pipes I have seen to date.

You can view all of the DG pipes by going to:
http://www.theitalianpipe.com/
Click on "The Pipes" and then "Dal Fiume".

You can also learn about Gabriele and his father under "Artisans", from the
main menu.

I would be most grateful if you could let me know what you think of these
pipes. By providing feedback, you will be helping this talented young pipe
maker improve to the best of his abilities.

Happy Pipe Smoking,

Tarek

I think they are awesome, well some of them are awesome but out of my
price range. Maybe a little high for an unknown maker, but then again
I am boob. Now he might be a very well known maker, my pipe world is
basically ASP. To be blunt (well you asked) I would buy a Castello
first they are in the same playing field money wise. But I ate a lot
of lead paint chips as a child.

Thanks, Terry, for the feedback. I'm trying to put all the comments I
receive together and then forward them to Gabriele. It's my obligation to
him.

While I take your point fully, and without mentioning further names, I don't
think Del Fiume and Castello are comparable. If you compare these pipes to
a host of other brands, they should appear very cheap!

Yours, enjoying a bowlful of GLP Cumberland in a Radice Rind Liverpool!
Heaven!

Well Tarek honestly I am an idiot and should be the last person you
take any serious critique from. I mean I like the danes and all and I
am still working on getting it. However in Benningtons I saw pipes
that I have seen on the net and thought "ya well whatever, but in the
shop I was floored" The internet has it's limitations. I really like
his designs. If you need real feed back please have him send me two or
three :) and I will review them. I am a top notch reviewer, 1. They
are great, 2. they are good 3. they suck canal water. That is about
best I can come up with. Here is to wishing him more success then he
thought possible....
