Unfortunately the Parker and Hardcastles that were Dunhill seconds were
not oil-cured. Taylor-Mades were produced before Ashton began oil-curing
their pipes and Upshalls were an attempt to return to the glory days of
Charatan, hence no oil-curing. Don't know about the others.
One brand not yet mentioned was Jarl, who produced a line of oil-treated
pipes.

Thank you. The Jarl Chieftain is oil cured, and is so engraved on the shank.
Bark (in black and "Antique" (tan))
Reo (similar to Dunhill Bruyere, only darker and more purple)
Root (natural)
SG (straightgrain)
These pipes will also have zero to 3 stars that are *supposed* to
designate size, with three stars representing the largest bowl size.
There are, of course, smooth/bark combinations. YMMV...

I'm certainly no expert on Barling, but according to Tad Gage,
Barlings were air cured.
