I've become a harcore anti-tobacco Nazi. As you can tell from my nym, I
am a major pothead, but naturally I go out of the way to make nobody
catches a whiff of my drug fumes. And I don't really like smoking it,
it is just the most economical way to consume it at the moment. But
tobacco is just the most disgusting smelling substance, and after living
over a decade in Las Vegas -- the ashtray of the world -- plus having a
chain-smoking fool for a younger brother, the scent of it is enough to
send me into a homicidal frenzy.

My opinion is that tobacco be as legal or illegal as marijuana. Why
should I be treated like a felon, while someone who smokes fifty or more
nicotine sticks a day -- poisoning the air of everyone around them --
gets a goddamn medal? And I'm sick of our society acting like it's not
really a "drug," though users are compelled to ingest it every fifteen
fuckin' minutes or start foaming at the mouth and biting people.

Unsure whether it was the vile odor that makes me feel sick in smoky
rooms, or the drug itself, I tried one of my brother's nicotine patches.
I recognized the sensation right away -- it's the secondhand nicotine
in the air. Within a few minutes I got flushed, dizzy, my heart was
pounding, I was sweating profusely. After ten minutes I ripped it off
my arm, then several minutes later I started vomiting. Not a
mind-altering drug?!? There was no way I could have operated a motor
vehicle in that condition.

Tobacco prohibition is impossible: Imagine the crime that would be
generated by fifty million nicotine addicts seeking a new source for
their banned narcotic. They've finally given up on marijuana
prohibition, now they think it's a great idea to outlaw another plant
that anyone can grow at home. I've never tried, but I suspect tobacco
is much easier to grow than pot -- and I've wondered why users spend ten
bucks or more a day on something they could grow legally in their
backyard. But when you get to know enough smokers, you realize that
almost all of them are mentally retarded and/or criminally insane.

I don't believe in cigarettes, in fact when people smoke, I can't
hear what they're saying. I've fine tuned myself to shut out the
words of smokers. So I miss out on a lot of conversations."

I don't smoke it is the principle I am against. Like telling me I
can't drink a big gulp.

Pot is now legal here. Not sure if you can grow your own though.
