A wheelchair-bound man has been hospitalized with second and third degree
burns after he accidently dropped a cigarette on his clothes.
The 67-year-old, who was confined to a wheelchair several years ago after a
stroke, was airlifted to the University of Colorado Hospital around 3 p.m.,
said Fountain Fire Chief Darin Anstine. The victim's name has not been
released.
"When his clothes caught on fire a neighbor saw him and went over and
started to put the fire out," Anstine said. Either the neighbor or the man's
wife called 911.

Recently, a bedridden woman burned herself alive by smoking in bed in
Philadelphia. What a horrible way to go, but I am sure she enjoyed that
last dose of nicotine.
Yeah, flammable clothing kills!
