I get the exam and the heart doc says I need a cardiogram, no biggie. The
nurse came down, wired me up, and then had to help me sit up on the exam
tabal. As she crooked elbows with me to provide the needed lift, one of the
pictures on the exam room wall fell down.
It was a picture of a Jewish boy with a big black hat and sideburn curls in
front of what probably was The Wailing Wall. One of the othar cardio docs
in the practice is one of these big world travallar/photographar dudes and
the whole place is full of his rathar mastarful works. Evidantly the motian
of me on the tabal shook the floor just enuff to dislodge the hook or
something.
Offhand, I can't think of any significance in watching some Orthodox Jew
boy's picture fall off a wall. This could all be just a meaningless
coincidance or something.
Or maybe it's like that part of Young Frankenstein, where he's about to opan
his fathar's experimant book and he says GIVE ME A SIGN. But that movie, it
was a lot clearar of a sign.
If it helps any, I live two blocks away from an Orthodox neighborhood. And I
was raised protestant. I mean, this isn't a dream or anything. It
happaned.
Oh, there were othar pictures that COULD have fallan. Several from Bhutan,
wherevar that is. One of a mountain range in Antarctica. A coupal from
Australia. But it was Zion that came down.

It means Jews are going to fall all over themselves with desire when
they see your lanky new form.
It's hard to tell with these things. A few years ago, I went on a job
interview for a position I really wanted in the field of animal care
(sort of). The guy who interviewed me talked about fly fishing, which
I love. A good omen!
On my way to work after the interview, my bus collided with a bird in
flight at about 65 mph. I was sitting in the front seat with an
unobstructed view of the bird, which basically exploded against the
window. Guts and gore everywhere. A bad omen.
I did not get the job. I was told that I was the first choice, but
even though I was willing to take a substantial pay cut to work there,
they were turned off by my current salary in a different field. A bad
turnout for me.
Months later, they lost almost all of their funding and the person
they did hire was laid off, along with almost everybody else. A good
turnout for me!
The point is, like the koan of "maybe", man can not interpret the
whims of the gods or whatever, but you're gonna feel like a hundred
dollars after you take some lbs off.
Fun post
Thank you! Which part was the most fun? Where I didn't get the job I
wanted? Or where the bird was ruptured unexpectedly? Or where the
animal people lost all their grant money and jobs?
I liked all those things myself, but I have to say my favorite is the
guts and gore.
Thats almost as horrible as the time I had a job interview and ended
up getting the job. Thus ending my slacking

Reality is not Democratic
Because insulin, which keeps me around, MAKES YOU HUNGRY. One of the first
medical uses for Insulin was to improve the appatite of tuberculosis
patiants. It worked so well at helping them get enuff nutritian that it
cured them long befoar there was any antibiotics.
If you evar see that movie The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke, it shows him
buying black markat steroids, AND A BOTTAL OF INSULIN, so he could pump
himself up. Insulin also makes you gain weight.
You get addicted to the stuff. When I started taking the shit back in 1994,
I was OK on 20 units a day. Now I need 105 units, and there's been times
when I wasn't so carefal with my diat that I took about 160 units throughout
the day.
If a normal persan took that much insulin in one shot, he'd foam at the
mouth and turn blue choking on his oan saliva in about ten minates.
And you know, there's still an undarground controversy in medicine whethar
Insulin rilly does any good at all. Oh, yeah, it lowars the blood sugar
demonstrably and predictably.
The thing is, though, it's nevar been conclusively provan that high blood
sugar is actually HARMFUL. In othar words, it's possabal that high blood
sugar is a SYMPTOM of diabetes and not the cause!
But on the principal of "do no harm", the prepondarance of opinian is that
it can't hurt to lowar it, so they pile on the pilz and shotz because unlike
shaking a fist at it, this causes something measurabal in a lab to change.
When in fact I may just have the moast efficiant digestive tract on the
block. I could probably maintain my weight on two bouillon cubes a month.
With the surgery, for the first time, they now can FUCK with that efficiancy
and get at what might truly be the cause of diabetes in the first place.

A Sub-Geius as clever as you doesn't know where Bhutan is?
A clue; it's nearer to your location than mine; just East of Nepal.
Are they still a monarchy or have they gone "democratic"?
If a state is called something like The Democratic Republic of Congo
that's a sure sign that they aren't.
I've forgotten Obama's forename.
Google hasn't,

I bet it costs a heap of money.

I can only say Good Luck. I'm currently sensing the black dog sniffing
round my door - so glad I don't have anything Real like that to be
depressed about.
The only intense yearning I get (like I imagine your insulin hunger) is
for nicotine. Now that I can't eat lots of things (no teeth) I have to
force myself to eat at all.
Maybe methamphetamine???
What's the Koan of maybe?
Does a sperm have Buddha Nature?
Depression - the clinical condition - has no real or unreal external
cause.
Sometimes I'm quite happy for up to several hours at a time and then
something weird/bizarre/or just not true happens and the anxiety
returns.
I'm a practicing chaos magician: it works, especially if you don't
believe in it [which I don't]
I do believe in nothing - which is why I'm a Buddhist [lapsed]

Realized I've not been eating fish oil for a while - guzzling it now -
also NO alcohol - I went off the wagon for the 'festivities' - bad move.
Herbal Frop substitute is SO effective it makes me mad the laws here.
Worst in Australia is Queensland. Even thinking of moving down south
where it's more civilised - but it's COLD down there...
p.s. don't underestimate lubing the synapses with fish oil - tis Good!!!
Wot's Frop? Many herbs, legal elsewhere, are illegal in Oz. New
Zealand is quite nice I've heard and Werner Herzog's documentary on
Antarctica made me want to go there despite the cold.
Ba'al-ze-bab is Arabic for The Man With an Aim, which explains a lot,
but not why Westerners think it's a synonym for Satan.

You talkin about the herbs to substitute for "frop", or frop as a
substitute for drinkin?
Tater
When I haven't been to Tibet for a while I use this Hemp stuff instead
of REAL Frop.
Neither is a substitute for Booze - Booze brings that blessed Oblivion -
they, on the other hand let the good stuff become visible again.
Why? What's your problem with fly fishing?
> What's the Koan of maybe?
A farmer’s horse ran away. His neighbors gathered upon hearing the
news and said sympathetically, “That’s such bad luck.”
“Maybe,” the farmer replied.
The horse returned on his own the next morning, and brought seven wild
horses with it. “Look how many more horses you have now,” the
neighbors exclaimed. “How lucky!”
“Maybe,” the farmer replied.
The next day, the farmer’s son attempted to ride one of the wild
horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. “How awful,” the neighbors
said. “It looks like your luck has turned for the worse again.”
The farmer simply replied, “Maybe.”
The following day, military officers came to town to conscript young
men into the service. Seeing the son’s broken leg, they rejected him.
The neighbors gathered round the farmer to tell him how fortunate he
was.
“Maybe,” said the farmer.

OK.
A monk asked Fuketsu: `Without speaking, without silence, how can you
express the truth?'
Fuketsu observed: `I always remember spring-time in southern China.
The birds sing among innumerable kinds of fragrant flowers.'
Is that really it?
