That's right, boys and girls, according to the end of the latest Dr. Who
episode, next autumn brings us a NEW Doctor, played by John Hurt!

I'm hoping for a performance similar to his playing of Adam Sutler in _V
for Vendetta_ ...

bah, the first alien he meets will force an embryo down his throat and
before you know it, it'll be chest-burster time.

Hmmm ... Dr. Who meets Mel Brooks ... I'm currently watching a Terry
Gilliam movie, and I still can't feature that combination.

(In case anybody's wondering, it was _The Imaginarium of Doctor
Parnassus_ ... or the middle 2/3 of it, visually. It wasn't letterboxed
on my square TV. And it reinforces my ambition to be Tom Waits when I
grow up.)

What, you don't like John Hurt or something? He was pretty boring in
the SciFi Channel's Dune series.

I know. Why don't they get Chlo Grace Moretz to play the Doctor
instead of pigeon-holing her deeper and deeper within the horror genre?
Also, she has not died onscreen.

Or how about David Morse?
