I like flying dreams and falling dreams. Sometimes, upon waking, I feel that
I'm not quit aligned with my body, e.g., that an arm is not where it is, so that
when I try to move it, there is a moment when the "ghost" arm moves and
snaps back into the physical arm. This gravity inversion is a new thing, though.
Upon drifting to waking state, I felt as if I had somehow gotten the mattress
turned over and was underneath it. I try to push it off of me, then realized that
gravity is upide-down, 180 degrees out, then there is a roll as gravity resumes
its normal direction. The whole sequence was about three seconds.

there are "scientists" who explain techinques for starting a "waking
dream". in other words it is possible for you to be awake in your
dream and actually control your actions inside the dream. i would
think if you could employ these techinques that this phenomenon would
be pretty fukin interestin. let me kno if u find anything out.

alas i do not have the name of the author responsible for this
techinque but if you read Ruckner's Geometery, Relativity, and the
Fourth Dimension (a Dover Book) in the bibliography he mentions the
author. it is a zollner contemporary.

Yep, I was lucky a while back to be able to take a course at Portland State
called, "Halucinogenic Training" from Dr. Warren Wilcox, a psychologist and
clinical hypnotist. He had students getting better grades, atheletes running faster
and lifting more weight through light self-trance and visualizing results.

We did relaxation and watching visual imagery in class and on our own,
we kept journals. I learned that the whirling patterns that we sometimes see
with our eyes closed is called phosphene imagery. We had a lot of reading,
experimental results and studies of suggestion and trance states around the
world in different cultures. I hated computers at that time, and I used self-suggestion
to think of computers as only a tool, and to visualize myself with mainframes.
It was a fun three-credit elective course.

I will look for more of Zollner's work, also.
