The other night, I watched a vid called, "The Frighteners"
Oh, well. It said that the soundtrack was by Danny Elfman,
so, I listened to it somewhat. Then I looked for stuff, and found this
kinda funny website.

I thought it was a kinda neat movie. Some good ideas. And Jeffrey
Combs.

Yup. He's the fellow who did Dead Alive and Meet the Feebles and is
working on Lord of the Rings, right?

Now _there's_ a résumé.

Fer real!

What had my jaw dropping was the sequence of Jackson's film-making career,
starting with 16mm like the Blair Witch guys did. Also, I'm kind of a sucker for
weird puppets, so the Feebles are fine with me.

I kinda liked The Frighteners, even though Michael J. Fox supposedly
has no Elvis. The Frighteners wasn't even going to be a full-length film
to start with, but it got done pretty well for all that, I liked the effects
very much. Kind of a pulp-horror film, twilight zone, and outer limits.
The ghosts streatching walls and floors was great! That's what ghosts
ought to do!

I hope that Lord of the Rings isn't like a sell-out production,
and that Jackson stays weird even with success.
