Found at the Coffee Shop

Adding to my series, "Heard at the Coffee Shop", are a few thoughts on
items left behind, on the ground, thrown, inadvertently lost, etc.
This morning I found a pair of pom-poms. Red and made out of a confetti
like plastic. They had white hard plastic flat handles embossed with
something like GO COUGARS ! (which could be the local middle school, D1
college team, or other.)
Did their team loose bad, and the pom-poms discarded in disgust? Or is
their a little girl crying her eyes out with their loss?
