It pains me to type this, but Joe Strummer passed away.

I simply cannot believe this. So many of those who literally changed
my life have been taken far too soon, Ian Dury, Joey Ramone, and now
Joe Strummer.

Rest in peace, Joe.

bummin. i like the clash, but i never got too into them. but i've seen a
lot of my heroes go too.

kurt cobain
srv
joey ramone
bob ross (yes, the painter)
george harrison

shit, that's all i can think of at the moment. i'm so glad john frusciante
didn't die when he was doing junk.

of course, that list doesn't include my heroes who passed before i was
born.

now and then, i still cry for kurt. poor guy had a hard life.

I grew up with The Clash, so it's hard to believe that Strummer is
gone. Heart attack at 50. Mad. I can echo those thoughts about
musicians who have played a huge roll my life over the years; Andrew
Wood, Jeff Buckely, Shannon Hoon, Bradley Nowell and now Joe.

I recently heard the "latest" Nirvana single and it brought back a lot
of memories. I finally got to read Cobain's suicide note (The gift
from the World Wide Web). Kurt was nothing more than a product of his
environment. Not the fame part, but where he grew up.

Oh well, what can you do? At least the music everyone made in life
will always be there.
