Jonathan Ross is leaving the BBC.
Perhaps that will mean the BBC has a lot more money to spend on some new
programmes.
Personally I couldn't care less, which company he broadcasts for. He can
be very funny at times. I just don't think he and others are worth the
hundreds of thousands of pounds they get in salary.
I am still a great admirer of the BBC I think they work under great
pressure. They have their faults of course but generally speaking BBC
programmes are the envy of the World. That we still pay a licence fee
(in fact I/we don't, one of those olds perks) means we get their
programmes advert free which is such a blessing. Anyone who has had to
rush for the remote to turn down the volume of inane adverts during
programmes will know just how annoying they can be. I would hate to see
the BBC become commercialised.
