Hi...

I heard this morning that "Life" magazine was going to be printed again.
I remember many of the covers so well and look forward to seeing such
high quality photographs again..

So many memorable covers...from Ernest Hemmingway and Audrey Hepburn to
the amazing photos taken by photographers during WW2.

I sincerely hope they do the same kind of superior job they did the
first time around.

I hope so to. It would be nice to have something familiar and of substance
come in the mailbox again. Norma

Actually they did a "special" edition for the 9/11 crisis. I took it to
Israel when I last went. It had loads of pictures and was a "keeper".

We used to have a magazine something like it on a more modest scale
called "Picture Post", and it was a regular in my parents' home.

My favourite magazine in my teens was Wide World, which my favourite
uncle always passed on to me every month. It was full of true life
adventures and stories from all over the world, much better than
fiction.

I have 2 Life magazines in plastic. One is the Kennedy funeral and the
other in landing on the moon.

Not sure...Aries.

The photographs were from all over the world and, as I remember, usually
of current events.

There were some stunning photographs and I think that's what generated
my interest in taking some of my own.

It's just nice to know it's back and I hope .. will strive for the high
standards it once had.

Of course it has since been proved that the moon landings were filmed
somewhere in Arizona. (Or was it Montana)?

Hi Gord & All - Never saw a WIDE WORLD magazine unfortunately - but we
always had plenty of 'National Geographics' in our school libraries over
here - in CA - which was perhaps similar - and to this day I still enjoy
the fine articles and especially the amazing pictures of natural
phenomena and of the many different human societies around the globe one
can still find there. Now there is National Geographic cable/dish TV
site as well. - Wes/MO

Not only is he one of the few people I've met who even knows where "The
Fillmore" is....he's a friend of a friend of mine.

Hi Val - Hey thanks you Sweet Lady you! Maybe I am a bit shy, yes
<blush> but my "web-site" IS coming along (believe it or not!) so soon
enough that's where 'more' about my art will be better laid out for all
curious folks to readily see and read more about. I'll be sure and post
when it's FINALLY up and running. <G> I love your website Val! Such a
lovely place your's!!! - Wes/MO

Hi Patricia & All - My sense of modesty feels definitely challenged this
morning. Thanks Patricia for being impressed! I'm SO curious about your
'friend of a friend!' - please 'grapevine' a "Hi!" to 'em from me if you
will. I've missed my contacts with so many fine folks over the years
since taking on the quieter seclusion of country life.
Glad you've survived all four hurricanes! Have a fun day!

Yes, I know you enjoy certain softly rounded curves, Wes. Have you still
got those lady models locked up in your studio-cum-barn? <vbg> I look
forward to seeing your website in due course...meanwhile, you are mentioned
all over other people's sites! This is probably my last visit to the ng
for a while, due to the fact that I'm dashing back to Key West again (for
three months); however, I shall check in again when I get back.
Meanwhile, have a wonderful Fall in that special place where you live.

Luv, Tim

Hi Lady Tim - <G> Have a great time down in Key West! It's a relaxed
place - with a generous compliment of laid back arty types I understand.
Thankfully you'll be there between hurricane seasons I hope! We'll miss
ya! Take care - see you in three months! - (((Lady Tim))) - Wes/MO
