Hi Val - Liked your 'self portraits'....keep applying the anti-wrinkle
cream, kiddo, it's working! Unfortunately, I couldn't bring up your
flood disaster, and my browser is Internet Explorer. What kind of 'flood
disaster' are we talking about here? Washing machine leak, sink overflow,
cloud burst over an open skylight, bath water left on and coming through the
light fixture.. etc!? Tell me.....me mind's boggling!
Tim
LOL. would like to have seen that!! :-)
Tim
Hi Wes! Nice to see you in here again. I didn't manage to get over to
Paris to see your exhibition....I guess I've missed it now (27th March being
the last day, I think you said). I'm sad about that - but I'm sure it was a
great success. You paint such great stuff. Yes, it's spring over here
too....daffodils all over the place and bluebells due this month. Love it!

Hi ValC - Thanks Val! Yes that poster show is over but another one is
(or was recently) at "The Tate" I unerstand - but I don't know where
"The Tate" is! Now - how's that for 'being dumb' about one's career or
what? <BG> I do wish I was having an exhibit of my paintings in England
- especially LONDON! - but that will have to be after my October show
here of course. Actually I am hoping to coax some 'significantly
endowed' persons (sharp minds with good eyes and plenty of money) into
coming to my mid-American farm art studio to see my show - and then
perhaps having my next show over there in - Vienna, Munich, Paris - or
even better yet - where I can at least understand the language right
away - perhaps an upscale gallery in Edinburough(sp?) or London! Now,
Val, just what 'kind of artist' is it that yer Tony is? - mmmmm - I'm
wondering - ??? <G> - Wes/MO
Hi Wes! 'Special cousins' eh? Make that 'kissin' cousins'. <g> In your
post to Val you mentioned an exhibition of your art being at The Tate. I
got all excited....the old Tate Gallery is in London (not to be confused
with the new Tate Modern). My sister Rosie and I are planning to pop up
to the Tate at the beginning of May to see the Turner/Whistler/Monet
exhibition. I trawled through the Tate's website, but didn't see your
exhibition advertised there. Perhaps it's been and gone. Darn it! I'm so
glad to see that you are still so fully committed to your art - with
exhibitions all over the globe!! If I were a rich gal, I'd become one of
your groupies! <gg>
Cheers! Tim
>
Hi Tim - Hey thanks! Well I'll dig further and find out more about the
Tate exhibit - as my posters were prolly only a small part of the show I
suspect. Since an art history buff friend of mine mentioned the Tate
show in an email I'll get some more info and report back as soon as I
can. Darn it! - I really wish you were rich too 'cuz' - ! <BG> Have a
most wonderful day Tim - you Sweetie you! - Wes/MO
What talent Tony has, Val! I just love that abstract way of
painting....takes a lot of imagination! I keep waving my paintbrush at the
canvas, but I'm still waiting for my "own style" to evolve (should I live
that long!) :-)
Tim
I've been to many exhibitions at The Tate in London over many
years....wonderful place. No, I haven't been to the St Ives (Cornwall)
one - nor the one in Liverpool - but I'm sure there's always something worth
seeing in them. You can't beat a mozey around a good art exhibition to
leave you with a feel-good high! Do you paint, Val?
Tim
The Tate Gallery in London is a rather grand, beautiful old building. I'm
looking forward to seeing the Turner/Whistler/Monet exhibition there soon.
Hope your friend can throw some light on the subject of when your art was
exhibited there....otherwise I'll ask them myself when I'm there. Have a
great day yourself, Wes.....(big smoochie kiss). <g>
Tim
Good grief, No! I am still in the learning stages (indeed, I was
encouraged by Wes some time ago and have been 'trying' ever since). I
must, of course, push out my chest and say that there has been some mild
improvement....but the only thing I'm likely to make an exhibition of is
myself (at a Christmas party perhaps!) <g> I've tried oil and
watercolour, but I seem to be favouring acrylics at the moment. It's good
fun though.
Tim
I'm sure you'd get a lot of pleasure out of it if you took it up again. Not
scared of the competition are you? <gg>
Tim
It's difficult to find the time to do everything one would like to
do...although you seem to have managed it very well!
Tim
Yes, indeed...the medium of the impatient! :-)
Tim
Good for you....you should live to a ripe old age. Actually, I never liked
'ripe old age' as an expression.....reminds me of fruit about to decay!
Pehaps a 'fresh-fruity old age' would be better. <g>
Tim
> Pehaps a 'fresh-fruity old age' would be better.
Oh yes, I like that LOL Fresh and fruity suits me just fine LOL

Yes, I think a "round, firm and plump" old age would work OK for me! Sounds
rather jolly! <gg>
Tim
Hi Lady Tim - Golly! - you are painting too and I'm so happy to hear
that!! To start out painting like you have takes courage! Oils I too am
about to do a lot with by fall. Acrylics for me tend to dry too fast
and colorwise seem 'flat' - although I hear there are now water soluble
oils! We might give them a try - eh wot? I've been SO busy busy busy
lately - today too - having to research a vital part no. for a lawn
mower - still haven't found the manual - meanwhile our rather large
lawns are like prairie meadows already - with a good share of henbit and
dandelions ballooning up here and there. Very time consuming this
spring chore thing - but it is so beautiful - therefor not one single
brush stroke for me this day. Tomorrow all the way into town again for
mower parts!!! And this Saturday I've committed to help the Lodge serve
a pancake breakfast to the public - oh well it'll be fun to see all the
guys.
Have a wonderful day over there - you Darlin' lil 'artist' you!!!
(((X))) - Wes/MO
Hi Wes....I don't know how you fit all your daily activities into just one
day....never known such a busy chap! Hope you've managed to set yourself up
with a lawn mower by now - otherwise it will be tough going when the grass
is 'as high as an elephant's eye'. Don't get too bogged down in the Spring
chores though - the paint brush is a-waiting! BTW, I hope the pancake
breakfast was a great success....mmmmm, the thought of all that maple syrup
running down my chin is positively orgasmic! <gg>

Hi Tim & All You Wonderful Lovely 60+ Ladies! - Oh Tim! - you Sweet
Zingy Thing You! Ok - I'll ask my friend about the dates and info -
regarding the Tate exhibit, etc. and get back on that soon enough. -

primeval format - but at least it is now 'up' - !
Go to <www.wes-wilson.com> check it out - perhaps in a few MORE days it
will be more complete - so don't you all be too critical just yet -
please keep in mind it's just in its 'beginning stages' - ok? <g> -

Hi Wes - How do you know it's lunchtime when you're out in the barn? I can
picture one of those huge metal triangles hanging on the porch and your good
lady wife clanging away at it.....like in the old western movies. <gg> On
the other hand, she probably just calls you on your mobile. Times, they
are a-changing. Glad you raised plenty of bucks at the Lodge breakfast.
It was a lovely spring day here today. Rosie and I went up to the woods for
a long walk...the views of the countryside on the way back were
breathtaking. Makes an old gal feel twenty years younger! :-) Have a
nice day....
Tim
We don't exactly have that but I have a bell in the kitchen. I ring for my
other half, two rings for daughter, 3 rings everybody get here now. More
than 3 rings get here quicker than that and watch out because Mum is not
well pleased

Have another geat day over there 'by the sea' - you Lucky Lady you! - Wes/MO
So you exhibited at the Liverpool Tate? What is your artistic name Wes so
I can find out more ?

I found these sites with your name on them Wes - must be you huh ? Vry nice
stuff :) Do you still paint?

Hi Wes - Checked out the link. Seems that the Summer Love exhibition will
be at the Tate Liverpool (May to September)....way up there in the north of
England. Pity it's not in London - would dash up there in a heartbeat (but
perhaps I will get a chance to travel up to Liverpool before the end of
September - we shall see). I'm sure it will be a roaring success.
Meanwhile, good luck with your website.....all
good things are worth waiting for. Cheerio!

Hi Tim - Thanks - it's just a balsa raft on the windy beach right now -

Tim

Hi there You Two! Val & Tim - I AM blushing! Yer - OH so sweet!!! -
Wes/MO
Well, we know a good-looker when we see one. Enjoy the flattery, Wes! :-)
Tim

Hi Wes! My sister Rosie and I finally got to see the Monet/Turner/Whistler
exhibition at The Tate in London on Wednesday. It was really great....a lot
to do with each artist's treatment of 'light'. When Rosie and I came out
into the late evening sunshine, we started to chatter away about the effect
of the light on the river Thames, and the incredible evening sky, etc.
We realised what we were doing, and immediately fell about laughing. Well,
really!....as if we actually knew what we were talking about!! LOL.
Tim

William Turner was an English artist...quite a prolific impressionist
painter. Monet and Whistler were greatly influenced by his technique and
took up his style somewhat. He painted a lot of scenes of the foggy River
Thames in London, and misty seascapes (and other varied subjects). Don't
know who Mr "H" was....but Rubens painted some pretty rotund ladies! :-)
