1. rec.bicycles.tech. The engineering of automobiles and the
engineering of bicycles use the same applied physics. The book you
object to shows how to do safe engineering by analogy. On a tech
conference presumably at least a few dream of designing their own
bicycles.

2. rec.bicycles.misc. Where do you file engineering by analogy? Or the
wide interests of posters to RBT? Misc sounds good to me.

3. rec.bicycles.soc. It gave you a chance to vent a head of steam.
Otherwise you might have gone to the pub and picked a fight with
someone bigger with heaven knows what dire consequences. See, I did
you a favour.
