Rupert Murdoch's London tabloid The Sun hints that Nick Faldo's
ex-girlfriend is sort of letting herself go as she pines for the
42-year-old golfer.

Brenna Cepelak, the 23-year-old blonde who was dumped by Faldo, is
back in her hometown of Albuquerque, according to The Sun. Her hair is
now a dull brown, and a scruffy jumper and jeans have replaced her
designer frocks.

Cepelak had a three-year romance with Faldo before the twice-wed golfer
cut her loose so he could propose to Swiss beauty Valerie Bercher. Faldo
and Valerie have said they will wed in 2001.

"Brenna was angry because she gave up a lot for Nick," a source identified
as "a friend" told The Sun. "She gave him support when he was having a
tough time, and feels he behaved appallingly."

And this surprises her why, given that he dumped his long-standing
(and long-suffering) wife to shack up with the considerably younger
Brenna?

Faldo is a jerk - everyone involved with European golf knows that
already. Colin Montgomerie was one of the few friends he had left in
the game, until he took a swipe at him in the run-up to the Ryder Cup.
One European golf pro said that Faldo shit on a lot of people on the
way up that were only too happy to see him on the way down.

or the time you could uy a new David Bowie album without a creeping sense of
dread. We may be stuck with privatised railways and decimal currency, but
the Dame's latest long-player is, delightfully, just as good as they used to be.
'hours...' is a richly textured and emotionally vivid set....
This time around, Bowie sounds influenced by nobody except himself, and he couldn't have picked a better role model."
