I seem to remember reading recently that he is married now and has a son.

As far as I know, he's currently married and does have a young son (about 4 or
5 by now). I thought this was only his scond marriage? Kay Lenz being the
first or were there more? There have been rumours about him and I *do* have a
FOAF story about an incident that happened while "The Partidge Family" was
still on the air (the first time around) and I *do* trust this friend with
being above board.

David Cassidy has been married at least twice. I think he was married to
someone in between Kay Lenz and the wife he has now. I'm sure he has at
least one son, who would be about 5 years old.

He may have done some experimenting, but I think he's primarily straight.
(I remember he had a male room-mate, Sam, back when he was just getting
famous. Not that that means anything.) The weird thing is, I heard him on
a radio talk show a while back, and he seemed to have found religion. Kept
mentioning Jesus and faith, seemed extremely spiritual. He hadn't always
gotten along with his father, Jack Cassidy, and hadn't made peace with him
before Jack's accidental death. He seemed to have latched on to religion
as a way of making peace with his dad.

The person I have heard the bi rumors about is his half-brother Shaun
Cassidy. Yes I know he is on his second marriage and has some kids. That
means nothing. So did Jack Cassidy.

My understanding at the time of his marriage to Kay Lenz was that he
took after his father, the late Jack Cassidy, who while married to
Shirley Jones was quite a stud-puppy with all the hunky young men in
Hollywood. I had heard for years before that that Ms. Lenz was a
l_________, so it seemed (at the time) like a beard-and-merkin match
made in heaven.

Shaun was married the first time to a Playboy centerfold. Seems like
they were married a decade or so and had several children. The split
came around the time of the Broadway show, with David, Blood Brothers.
If you've ever seen photos of Shaun when he was a rock-n-roll singer
complete with Elton John outfit you might think he was bi too.

But back in the '70s, when David was trying to smash the teenybop image by
posing nude and giving an interview to ROLLING STONE, he claimed to be bi.
Was he just cashing in on the Bowie glam thing, or was he merely another
member in the long line of teen fave raves who appealed to pre-pubescent
girls by virtue of their ambiguous sexuality? More than one Bay City
Roller was gay you know!!

Sincerely and with love

Have you read David Cassidy's autobiography? I was crushed after I read it
and wished that I never had. The part he wrote about Susan Dey, painfully
honest though it was, was awful and I would feel terrible about it if I was her.
