May 12, 2002 -- Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart shared a $475 bottle of
wine and a tender moment Friday night as the "Ally McBeal" star remembered
celeb make-up artist Kevyn Aucoin.
Flockhart, crying at Nello's Restaurant in Midtown, was still shaken by the
loss of her friend, who died Tuesday from complications stemming from a
metabolic disorder caused by a brain tumor.
Ford, who divorced his wife last year, placed his arm around his gal pal and
comforted her by kissing her head.
Tears still flowed outside the restaurant and Ford asked a Post photographer to
stop taking pictures of Flockhart, who was grieving for her buddy, whom Ford
dubbed "the make-up artist."
The shutterbug agreed, and left the pair, who've been linked as a cuddly couple
ever since arriving together at a Golden Globes afterparty in January.
At that party, Flockhart made an impression on Ford by accidentally upending
her glass of red wine not only on her dress, but on Ford's Lifetime Achievement
statuette.
Ford played cool, pecking Flockhart on the cheek, wiping down his award and
remarking to the crowd, "She's a beautiful girl."
Before Flockhart, Ford had been hanging out with "Good Will Hunting" actress
Minnie Driver.
When asked about Driver that night, the "Star Wars" star came back with a sly
"Who?"
Flockhart's last small-screen appearance for a while is May 20, when "Ally
McBeal" departs from the airwaves.
