the art pieces)

HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - Actress Ione Skye held a star-studded exhibit to show
her oil paintings at an exclusive party at Les Deux Cafe.

Skye, 30, known for her roles in "River's Edge," "Say Anything" and "Wayne's
World," had a quiet group of guests who included Beck, Sofia Coppola and her
husband Spike Jonze, Vincent Gallo, Julie Delpy, Gwyneth Paltrow, Balthazar
Getty, Rachel Hunter, Jason Bateman, George Segal, Joan Quinn, Jeremy Piven and
Red Hot Chili Peppers Flea and Anthony Kiedis.

The large art pieces go for up to $12,000 with her favorite painting, "Boy with
a Goat," being the centerpiece. She also is selling paintings called, "Costa
Rica," "Girl on dog" and "Amy's pregnant dream" with prices ranging from $500
and up.

"I love painting, it's a very relaxing thing for me to do," said Skye, who
added that the "Boy with a Goat" is her favorite of this collection, but her
second favorite is one that was inspired by her "Say Anything" co-star John
Cusack. "It's something I like to do between films."

Her next project, however, is not a film, but a baby she's expecting in
January. She was marrid to Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz and is now engaged to a
New York businessman.

Meanwhile, her celebrity friends enjoyed the champagne and festivities at the
secret Les Deux Cafe, a hideaway in Hollywood where the stars are known to hang
out.

"I love this stuff," said Jon Cryer, who's Skye's co-star in the feature film
"Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God." "Her work has a lot of mood and
color," added Natasha Wagner.

Skye is one of Hollywood's most prolific second generation actors as the
duaghter of '60s folk rocker Donovan and sister of Donovan Leitch, who was also
at the art show.

Her upcoming movies include independent features "Free," "Moonglow" and "The
Good Doctor." She is playing Virginia Rappe, the doomed actress crushed by
Fatty Arbuckle in "Babylon Revisited" and stars in "Southlander" and
"Angryman." She's co-starring with her brother in the film "Men Make Women
Crazy Theory," which has not yet been released.

The exhibit is her first one-woman show, put together by Mediarare in
Hollywood, run by artist Laurie Frank, who's exhibited shows by Allee Willis,
Yul Brynner and Pat York, wife of Michael York.

The art exhibit in Hollywood runs through Aug. 21.

Didn't she say that she left Horowitz when she realized she was a lesbian?

Yup, and didn't somebody just post something in the last day or two to the
effect that people never change their sexual orientation?

Maybe it is only women that do...

I thought she said after her breakup with Horowitz, she had a relationship with
a woman...not that she realized she was a lesbian.

Ok - when she broke up with Adam didn't she go on record as saying she was a
lesbian? Somehow if I wasnt sure about that kind of a decision I sure as hell
wouldnt announce it to the world.
