Actually, Eric Lindros has never played for anyone but the Flyers. He was
originally drafted by the Quebec Nordiques and traded to the Flyers in
1993.

No, don't worry....despite being credited on the cd sleeve
Alanis didn't write the song. She never went down on
anyone in a theatre.
I have also heard that is about Dave Coulier and I agree!

The way I heard it, the song is about her exboyfriend who was a player
on the Ottawa Roughriders (Canadian football team). I can't remember
what his name is offhand, but I think it's a stronger possibility that
it
being the guy from Full House, IMO (she is Canadian..and from Ottawa ?)

Nope.
It was about Eric Lindros, from the Philadelphia Flyers. Their affair
was when Eric played for the Ottawa Senators.

It supposedly was someone from back in her earlier dance incarnation
up here in Canada, but even us in her hometown haven't been able to say
for sure. I thing she'll have to spill the beans for the final word.

No, I'm afraid not, Clone Boy.
It's just a deliberately shocking lyric basically
like in a Madonna song. Remember "Papa Dont
Preach?" Well...there never was a baby!

The actual rumor was Mike Peluso who played for the Ottawa Senators
and now plays for the St. Louis Blues, I think.

I replied earlier that I thought it was a guy from the Ottawa
Roughriders, but I think I got my sport wrong. :) I think I remember
also hearing that it was Eric Lindros, now that my memory's been jogged
(yet ANOTHER sport <G>).

Eric Lindros never played for the Ottawa Senators and Alanis Morrisette
definitely dated Dave Coulier but I don't know if the song is about him.

I heard it was about Alexandre Daigle from the Ottawa Senators. I saw
them at a mall, in Ottawa, years ago.

It is Mike Peluso when HE played for Ottawa Senators. He says
they were just friends and it is supposidly about her manager
when she was 16 and broke it off. Later J

no i'm going to hurl.. alanis morisette dated eric lindros? one of my
best friends idols..he has the damn jersey and everything.. and gets more
comments when he wears it.. his current big deal is i took him to the
pumpkins show in LA last dec and Courtney grabbed him asking me who this
was (we were backstage and he looks kinda threatening, big guy) and he
says anyone else he woulda flattened for grabbing his jersey but since it
was courtney he forgave her once she apologized..
he is gonna be repulsed when he hears this.
Onica
Eric Lindros was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques, not the
Ottawa Senators. He never played a game for the Nordiques,
as he was traded to Philadelphia while he was still in Quebec's
"minor league" team (not sure if that's what they call it in hockey).
And of course, Quebec doesn't exist anymore... so... whatever.
