The only thing I heard Sharon Stone saying about Dwight was that "dating
him was like eating a dirt sandwich."

I'm amazed that this Dwight/Sharon Stone item is still around after five
years. He dated her for about five minutes before going back to his
longtime love, a blonde named Tracy, who appeared in some of his videos.
I've always suspected that Stone's nasty little comment was caused by
his dumping her. He also had a longer relationship with Karen Duffy, who
earlier this year wed someone else. He has been seen recently with
Sheryl Crow.

In that case, I hope you've graduated from grade school, guy #1.

FWIW, I remember the quote as "A dirt sandwich is better than Dwight
Yoakam." My other favorite SS quote is "You can only fuck your way to
the middle."

God, I love that woman.

yep, two degrees, yet, but still youthful-looking enough to get a rise

Totel bullshit. With his acting career picking up steam all the time,
Dwight has more incentive than ever to stay in LA. He just bought
another house here two years ago. I'll believe this when one of his band
members calls me to tell me.

Actually a lot of celebs have mutiple homes, often removed from LA such
as
Spielberg and Santa Fe and everybody else and Montana, so it's really
not farfetched
to believe Dwight might be buying in Austin or anywhere else.

Dan Rather owns a home in Austin and Sandra Bullock and Mathew McConna
whatever
are supposed to be buying here in Austin ( I don't know if they are
buying together
but I'm working on it)

Not true. The golf cart is there for the first class passengers.

Famous people are often whisked thru airports in the carts so they won't
be mobbed. Also, passengers in danger of missing their connections are
often taken to their gate by cart. They are not reserved for *only*
elderly and disabled passengers.

Miss Lo, I wasn't sure if you're joking, but let me assure you that the golf
carts in the Austin airport are most assuredly *not* for first class
passengers. They are indeed intended for the elderly & disabled.

True, but in this particular case:

a) Austinites *really* don't fawn over celebrities, which is why, for instance,
Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr. have no reason to be worried about going
out to popular nightclubs and getting mobbed

b) Austin has a relatively small (15 gate) airport that's practically dead at
10:00 at night, which is when Yoakam arrived

Thus, his odds of being mobbed were practically zero. Yoakam clearly was
riding the cart because he wanted the full "star treatment," IMO.

Here at Metro, the carts are for anybody who can slow down the art driver and
hop in. But maybe that's b/c it's like 2 miles from the check-in to the gates at
Northwest.

I've been seeing Dwight around Hollywood for years in the supermarket
and the drug store with no hat, looking like an average guy. I somehow
doubt he'd be that interested in "star treatment" in a small airport.
More likely, the airline offered to take him to baggage in the cart and
he said OK.

I'm not joking. Maybe it's different in Austin, but, in my extensive
travel experience, the golf cart is indeed for first class passengers.
At least when you travel international it is, both in the US and in
Europe. Personally, the only time I've ever used it was during my
pregnancy. I'm always afraid i'll go flying off the damn thing.
