Which Mrs. Garvey?

E! ran a story about Candace Garvey showing up at Mary Frann's house and
touring the place days after the former NEWHART star died. They
referred to Candace as Steve garvey's ex-wife.

I thought she was still married to Steve Garvey.

I thought Cynthia Garvey was Steve Garvey's ex. Cynthia you may recall
said because of Steve's athletic prowess he had been pampered all his
life and did not know the moral difference between right and wrong. She
called him a sociopath.

Candace Garvey, on the other hand, was part of that Christina Ferrare
show on THE FAMILY CHANNEL and Steve appearred with her on the show
regularly.

So, are there now two former Mrs. Steve Garvey's.

And now the REST of the story. Cindy Garvey turned out to have massive
mental problems. She was a mess --in and out of mental wards after her
marriage to Marvin Hamlisch failed. Can't recall the exact details but
it was quite a struggle for her to even survive.....maybe someone else
can fill in the details.....

Wasn't she in big trouble for stalking an exboyfriend? He owns a fancy
restaurant in Santa Monica called his name (can't remember it). I really liked
her when she was on a local tv morning show, she seemed a little bit strange
though. She did some bits about being lonely on the holidays when her
daughter(s?) were away at school, and they seemed genuine and sort of pitiful.
I wondered why a woman who looked that good couldn't get a date....

Cynthia Garvey actually wrote a book I read a few years ago. The following
tidbits come to mind:

* She had nothing good to say about Regis Philbin. They hosted a talk show
together.

* She attributed her daughters' athletic prowess to her genes. OK, reality
check.

* She would have been a doctor had she not married Steve. Yeah, right.
Apparently, she was well into her sophomore year of college before she realized
she was majoring in gym.

She also hosted an advice type radio show back around 1990. It wasn't bad. I
guess this was before she flew off of her rocker.

Which Mrs. Garvey paid the creepy visit to the late Mary Frann's house?

Also, are Candace and Steve still married.

The E! and Reuters articles specifically mentioned Candace Garvey, the
ex-wife of Steve Garvey conned her way into Mary Frann's house.

If I remember correctly it was CANDY who was a friend of Mary Frann and Nicole
Brown Simpson.

CINDY dated Larry King. I think she was involved with Marvin Hamlish but doubt
she ever married him.

They are both blonde fruitcakes with tacky taste in men. .

The last I heard, Candace had moved out on Steve because she was afraid of
Cindy's wacko actions. Candace said "I don't want to become another
Nicole."
Candace had been a friend of Nicole. About the time Cindy went nucking
futs on that other boyfriend, Candace said Cindy was harrassing and going
nucking futs on Steve again as well. Candace moved out on Steve. Then I
thought I heard that Candace moved back in and patched things up with
Steve. But maybe she didn't patch things up with Steve and they eventually
divorced. If Candace is a carbon copy of Cindy, Steve wouldn't be the
first to keep marrying carbon copies of his same "Type."

Bruce Jenner's wife is named Kris, who was previously married to Robert
Kardashien (sp) of OJ fame. The Jenners are good friends of the
Garveys. Steve and Candace are still married and are actually expecting
a baby any day. From what I know of Candace, she's a decent person, not
a nutcase, and I doubt there is much truth to this story.

Of course, you never know. . .

How many women did he have pregnant, or who had just had his babies, when he
married Candy, or during their engagement, can't remember the details, but
didn't that put an end to his political aspirations? Was it 2??

I seem to remember that Steve and Candy seperated and then got back together in
the last year.
