I was dissing you (as the kids like to say), but Anna's talent, or lack
thereof. It seems like E! is purposely going out of their way to show that
she has no discernable talent. So far on her show this season, she took an
acting class with Danny Bonaduce, tried interior decorating, etc. and either
did a poor job or passed with ridiculous results.

I didn't see the show from the beginning, but I did get the impression that
Anna was extremely reluctant to let her art work go public. People were
snapping it up too, and it was for charity.

I dunno, knowing kid's art was made by kids makes it pleasant to look at.
Knowing this kid's art made by ANS doesn't. JMO, of course.

I've always liked naive or folk or "outsider" art, so I guess that is why I
like it!

Quite true. People were actually paying thousands of dollars for her work. She
has a name, even though she may not have the talent. I admit..I kinda liked the
gorilla/monkey one..I think the frame the gallery used really made it, though.
Surprised that one didn't go. The one the Missing Person's/Duran Duran drummer
bought of a baby was horrible. But yes, she did donate the money to charity,
which is always cool. She donated it to an AIDS charity, though I can't
remember which one off the top of my head. Of course, even though Anna may
suck, Bobby Trendy is even worse..he has no talent and has to try to leech
attention off of ANS, which is pathetic.

The name factor did help move her paintings out the door. But you'd be
surprised at how expensive "naive" art work can be. We have a gallery
here in Austin and some items run in the thousands.

Yeah, I didn't like that one either. It's really the one I completely
don't like. The rest I could live with, particularly 4,5 and 10 -- in fact
10 would look nice in the breakfast nook, if I had one that is!

I really love the baby painting! It's cool...I put it on my desktop. On
the show, there was a monkey eating a banana that was really nice too and a
vase of pink flowers that was well done. Other than that, they're chidlish
lol...even Anna herself said so.

Wee Bit Strange
I've only seen her show twice and tuned in for this one.
I felt really sorry for her when she was at the art gallery (or
Michael's Crafts, it seemed) to get frames for her paintings. The lady
who was behind the counter was a real bitch, but did it with a
solicitous facade.
She took her in the back room and demonstrated how the framed pieces
would look with the "right lighting". On the walls, were Real Art.
Beautiful oil paintings created by talented, educated artists. And the
woman went into a big show of positioning her paint-by-numbers
creation in the middle of them. You could tell it really humbled
TWANS.
It was a "Pretty-in-Pink-Andie-in-the-Boutique" kinda moment. As
stupid as it sounds, it hurt me for her. She's a dunce, but she's
harmless.

Look at Jackson Pollard's work...I think Anna's stuff is more focused and
thoughtful

Anna Nicole's not a dunce, just a very simple country girl who wound up
getting famous. I think it's great she has a nice hobby like painting.
By the end of the show Anna seemed to be happy with the warm reception
her art got with the audience.

I'm glad. Her paintings are not half bad. I liked the one with the flowers
in the vase.
And the ones with the seagulls. It looks primitive. It looks childish.
But they're pleasant
to the eye and that's all that matters to me.

I never watch TWANS, but caught part of that episode. I admit I did
like the gorilla/monkey. And maybe I'm a freak, but I think the baby
one is hilariously kitschy (in a good way). The rest of it was pretty
clumsy, but since even TWANS can recognize that I'll cut her some
slack.
