The good news is that there is still a 1% chance that it really is an
original Picasso. Plus I have an incredible tale to tell about how I got it
and the tragic/comic story behind it. It is an epic tale that I'll have to
put on several web pages. Hopefully the story about My 1% Picasso will be
ready in a few days.
>Well, Ol' PJ drove down to Miami today to
>have what he thought was an original
>Picasso checked out by an art expert at
>Sloan's Gallery. Anyway, it wasn't a print
>but the art guy said he was 99% sure it
>wasn't a Picasso. It seems to have been
>painted with what looks like liquid paper.
OMG, sugar. That's **exactly** what THIS gal thought after you
forwarded the scan. It had that veird glow of Liquid Paper.
On the bright side, tho ....... maybe Davy Jones' mama painted
it.......:-)
Disappointed hugs,
Janice, hoping if it'd been a real Picasso, PJ would buy a gray guitar &
play "Mr. Jones & Me."

made LP. Lucky boy!

I wouldn't be so quick to accept the appraisal, peej. Anyone who knows
jack about Picasso also knows that in 1906 he painted exCLUSIVELY in white
out. I'll bet the appraiser was hoping you'd ask him to dispose of the
piece so he could have it all to himself...

If you can condense it into an ASG subject header I *might* be prepared to
give it a glance. :-)

Oh, you're right.
Though I kinda like The Monkee's tunes, *Davy Jones* is the only
Monkee-name I can *ever* remember!!
Must be from the Brady Bunch episode where he takes Marcia to the prom.
Hugs,
Janice, wondering if Mama Nesmitt came up w/ the initials "LP" from all
of Mikey'$ LPs...............;-)
One interesting piece of news. I just got some feedback from ANOTHER art
expert who says that it could still be an original Picasso. The reason being
is that Picasso liked to use lots of different types of paints. Remember,
the art guy at Sloan's said that it looked like liquid paper, not that it
was liquid paper. Plus he said that he wasn't a top expert in Picasso.
Therefore My 1% Picasso is still a contender.
What I am planning to do is to write a massive online documentary (as
opposed to linear story). It will be WILD. I hallucinated the whole story on
my drive back to Sloan's yesterday. This online documentary story, "MY 1%
PICASSO," will serve two purposes. One will be to demonstrate a new way of
writing using the Web with it's links, and the second will be to generate
interest in My 1% Picasso and perhaps get more opinions from the art experts
who may be able to resolve the mystery.
This story is quite incredible, it involves a lady thrown out of her home by
her wealth husband and forced to live in her Mercedes Benz, Miss Poland of
1952 or 1953 also plays a prominent role, you will learn about the secret
life of the Snake Man of Broward County, my personal humanitarian efforts to
help Stripper education in South Florida, the secret underground religion of
Ken Buddhism and it's bizarre rituals revealed for the first time, and
much, much more. And of course, YOUR HERO figures prominently in this tale
whose broad sweep crosses continents and spans decades.
Coming soon---MY 1% PICASSO........Finally, the story can be told!
>Oh, dahling, I think, it was that *other*

Hey Hey, he's the Monkee, Michael Nesmith.
