Darcy LaPier's $63M battle for Herbalife estate

Mery widow Darcy LaPier, wife of Herbalife founder Mark Hughes, is battling her
late husband's estate for $63 million -- a fortune earmarked for her 9 year old
stepson's inheritance.
"Darcy makes the wicked stepmother in Cinderella look like Mother Theresa,"
confides an insider.
She's accused of:
* Refusing to return to the little boy some of his most prized possessions -
including a drum set that was a favorite gift from his late dad.
* Demanding that the estate be used to foot HER bills -- even the $28k it cost
to bury Mark.
* Sending Alex a photograph of shattered Christmas ornaments when his natural
mom, Suzan, asked that they be sent to their home for the holiday season, a
source claims.
"Darcy won't give Alex his things back," a source claims. "...saying he will
just have to wait for the estate to complete going through probate. That could
take a year or more!"
Originally LaPier was slated to get $1 million, according to the terms of her
1999 prenup with Hughes.
"Darcy and Mark had a prenup which stated that if they divorced, Darcy would
receive one million dollars for every year she spent with Mark and she would be
allowed the privilege of continuing to live in Grayhall, their Beverly Hills
mansion, with all expenses paid, until she remarried."
But, sources say, the conniving LaPier got Hughes to amend the prenup just
three months prior to his death. In the revised agreement, she was to be given
a lump sum payment of $10 million following his death.
But even the amended prenup wasn't enough for greedy Darcy, who went to war
against Mark's estate.
"Darcy, who at 35 has already been married four times, said there could never
be another man in her life afeter losing her beloved Mark," says a source.
"She had her accountants draw up a proposal insisting she'd never remarry and
that she'd be billing Mark's estate for her living expenses for the next 44
years! Cost: $100 million!
"Then she proposed the estate could just buy her out right now for a mere $63
million!"
And while the lawyers representing little Alex's interests battle it out with
LaPier's legal team, she's making the estate pay her bills.
Her outrageous expenses include:
* $5, a month to buy flowers
* thousands for limos and chauffeurs
* $45k a month to pay for her personal security
* $41k a month for household help
* $55k to move her belongings from the Malibu house to Grayhall
* $160k for antiques for the mansion
Amazingly, Darcy even charged the estate to bury Mark!
Darcy submitted bills asking for moeny to pay:
* $28 in burial expenses, even though Mark was cremated.
* $750 for two sessions with famed hair guru Jose Eber on the day of the
funeral
* $320 for a massage from a masseuse
* $11k to fly family and friends to the funeral
* $1k for clothes for friends to wear
* $1 million for food, flowers and security for Mark's extravagent memorial
service held at their Malibu beach house, including an incredible 1.4 million
roses.
* And while Darcy rode around town in a luxury limo during the funeral, she got
an Avis rental car for Alex to be driven around in and sent a bill for $450 for
the car and a driver.
And while Darcy is claiming to be the grieving widow who will need to be looked
after by Mark's estate for the rest of her life, she is behaving like anything
but.
Just weeks after Mark's death, she was seen partying nonstop in the Hamptons on
Long Island. A source says lusty LaPier put the moves on a South American polo
player, a distinguished older gentleman and a handsome young stud!
