Below is the official obituary for Margaret Trigg. She died in the psychiatric
ward of Bellevue Hospital in New York City on November 16th. The cause of
death was undetected in the initial autopsy. Margaret, along with John Bedford
Lloyd, starred in "Aliens in the Family," a sitcom about an Earthling with two
kids who marries an alien (Margaret) with three kids. Aliens in the Family was
part of ABC's "TGIF" line-up in 1996.

Margaret Trigg was a legend on the downtown comedy circuit. Both for her
immense talent and her killer sex appeal. Many of Margaret's ex-comic
boyfriends swear to this day that they can't bring themselves to orgasm without
thinking of her.

She may be physically gone. But we haven't heard the last of her.

May 30, 1964 - Nov. 16, 2003 A beautiful star has left this earth and is
shining brightly in the heavens. Margaret Julia Trigg died November 16,
2003, in New York City, the town she so dearly loved. Margaret was born May
30, 1964, in Bastrop, Texas, to the late Kleber Miller Trigg and Minifred
Trigg. Her brother Lance Haiden Trigg preceded her in death. She is survived
by her brother, Kleber Boyles Trigg and the loves of her life her nieces and
nephews, Susan Ann Trigg, Kleber Marshall Trigg, Martha Claire Trigg, and
Haiden Smith Trigg. Margaret graduated from Bastrop High School in 1982 and
Stephens Womans College in Columbia, Missouri, in 1985 with a BA Degree in
Literature and Dramatic Art. Margaret spent her junior year at Oxford
University in England. After graduation, Margaret lived in Dallas and
briefly in Los Angeles. She moved to New York in 1989 and worked tirelessly
writing her own stand up comedy routines. She performed at Caroline's Comedy
Club, The Comic Strip, Boston Comedy Club, Comedy's Cellar, The New York
Comedy Club and Surf Reality. She appeared on the Jon Stewart Show, Girl's
Night Out, Conan O'Brien, Homicide, and a starring role in Aliens In The
Family on ABC. She starred in two movies, R.O.T.O.R. and Dream House.
Margaret's comedy specialty was doing characters. Her two all time favorite
routines were Glenda from the Wizard of Oz and Katherine Hepburn. Margaret
was greatly admired for her beauty, her talent and her kindness by all of
her peers in both Bastrop and New York. Two memorials have already been held
for Margaret in New York and a third is being planned for early December.

21, 2003, at Marrs-Jones- Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop. The funeral service

Wrenching something, anyway.

I was looking over all the info I could find about her on the net.
Seemed like an attractive girl - what was the reason for her
internment in Bellevue??

From a blog on the net (http://staceynightmare.blogspot.com/): "Margaret
died from complications due to anorexia and bulimia. The exact reason for
her death has not yet been determined. Many here in her Texas hometown are
very, very sad about her death."

Margaret Trigg did indeed die from an illness spurred on by her desperate need
to be thin. She was bullimic and her methodology to purge food from her system
was to abuse laxatives.

She was an extremely beautiful woman who never thought she was good looking
enough. What a cruel, sick industry she had the misfortune to be a part of.

Her premature death is such a terrible waste. Margaret can currently be seen
on Showtime Extreme in a movie called R.O.T.O.R. she is the star, and clearly
the best actress in the film. Margaret also guest starred on Homicide as
Veronica Velez.

Watching her now, encountered for the very 1st time on a Comet channel movie R.O.T.O.R. Was so intrigued I had to look her up. Shocked & saddened learning here, of her way too soon, tragic passing.
