I really hope that you all do well. Some of you I'll see/talk to elsewhere.
I wish I could stick around and offer you support when you need it, but
that would mean risking seeing the bullshit that is getting me to leave.
To just about everyone else, I want to say: good luck.
To the people who have ruined ASAR for me, I want to say this:
I will not name names, as tempting as it is, but I will name behavior.
Those of you who are capable of being honest with yourselves (not too many,
I think, on this list of people I hve in mind) may actually recognize
yourselves.
The people who are intolerant of someone for a belief they hold, or
something they do, when that belief or action is just a different way of
seeing or living life.
The people who are hypocritical, in that they accuse OTHERS of being
manipulative and just out for sympathy, when every note they write that is
not a flame is JUST LIKE THE ONES THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT.
The people who need to be shielded from everything.
The people who CAN NOT DROP something.
The people who think that BECAUSE they are <a survivor, multiple,
specifcially a survivor of X abuse> they should have the right to make
others censor what they say, and ALSO should have the right not to be
censored no matter what they say.
Grow up before it is too late.
Stop hating.
And stop seeing monsters in every shadow.
Shadows and darkness are necessary: without them, there is no way to even
figure out what light IS.
Different is not evil.
Before you cast that stone, ask yourself "Is this person really all that
different from me? Aren't we all human? Dn't we ALL have a reason to be
here? Isn't there unity in our common background?"
If the answer is "no", then you have missed something.
