Part 1
Ever since she was eleven years old, Laura had known she was different
from everyone else. She was brighter than most eleven-year-olds, and
she was physically more advanced then most girls her age. Her breasts
had started to grow at age ten, and at age eleven she was wearing a

But her physical state and intelligence weren’t the most prominent thing
different about her. It was her lack of compassion and guilt.
Where most girls her age cried at the drop of a hat, Laura had never shed
a tear in her life.
