We have a thread on the Yahoo Group running in which several authors
have reported that ASSTR.ORG's search engine is outputting some pretty
strange and deceptive results. Apparently, keyword searches are MAY be
getting titles right, but authors and story codes turn out to be
incorrect...

Has anyone here noticed this, and does Rey know about it? Since I know
Denny won't go there, I'll mention a couple of names for direct
questions: Gina Marie Wylie and Robin Pentecost, for starters...

Regards,

Thinker

DaydreamerXX mentioned that he was suddenly having problems as well.
Searches for his name were giving erroneous returns.

(1) Rey sez there was a problem with the indices having become
desynchronized--that's now fixed.

(2) It occurs to me--do you mean the search engine at
http://www.asstr.org/search.php
or the one at
http://assm.asstr.org/search.html
?

The first leans heavily on the SHS headers--so for folk who don't use
those, searches won't return much if anything. That's the different
choices listed below the main search window.

More later. Gotta go to work.
