Is the "nifty" site okay?

Hiya,

Has anyone had good luck accessing the "nifty" FTP site recently? [IF
YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE THE SITE IS, PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME!] It seems that
now, regardless of what time of day I FTP in, I get the "too many users"
message. Gophering in does work, but not all files seem to be available
via gopher. Any ideas?

My guess as to the problems with the "nifty" site is that someone posted its
address recently as a location to achieve some of Elf's stories. Since then
the site has been full and one day would not even connect. This is why folks
we say not to post site locations. This was a very good site that we've
probably lost.

I'll get off my soapbox now.
