What I see at the bottom of your stories is this:
[rest of article hidden - show next all]
"next" & "all" are links that take you either to the next page or the whole
story on one page. I don't know if it is different when viewed by other
than webtv and/or Newsreader.

I believe it's one of Frank's. The sub title "An Erotic Story" is one of his trademarks. He also posts his stories in this format with the rest hidden and linked.
Hidden and linked? Looked complete to me. I do (mostly did, but still occasionally do) post that way with the page-numbers and form-feeds. They're put in by WORDSTAR, which is a PAIN to remove.
He will no doubt answer himself when he has time since his name is in the subject.Well: I'm the original poster. Whether I'm the original author, is something else. I don't generally identify which of the stories in "An Erotic Story" were written by me or by other authors. Lately though, almost all my *newer* posts are by me alone. ASSTR and other places offer enough anonymity that posting by me doesn't seem to be needed so much. Sometimes you can tell it's not by me, by differences in style. OTOH, most of those stories that SOUND like mine, but really grab you by the balls and make you ache to squirt, are probably collaborations. A few authors I have worked with can write incredibly sexy stories ... yet cannot spell or punctuate or post grammar worth shit. Some of those I've worked with, and together we produced some stories that were ... incredible. But I ain't saying which is which. ;-} HFD with Tammy, of course. A few others, like the write-club-duels, are also obviously mine alone. Other than that: Guess. ;-}

Um ... That's something special to WebTV or Newsreader.
It must be the way they break up long posts.
Any "normal" newsreader viewing the story through a regular
newsserver, will get the entire story.
If you're using a regular ISP now, with a regular newsserver, then I
*highly* recommend getting a regular newsreader like Agent, FreeAgent,
WinVN, NewXpress, or one of the others, instead of hobbling yourself
using Newsreader.com.
Once you've used a real newsreader on a real newsserver,
Newsreader.com feels about as awkward as climbing six flights of
stairs with one arm and one leg tied together.
And, if you already have a regular ISP, then for most things the
service is FREE ... and most of the newsreaders are too. Agent (the
best, and most useful) isn't; but even FreeAgent is great. It's just
that Agent is *better*.

Hey, strings like this are what I'm here for.
Thanks!
Well what ever causes it, I only see it on your stories. No others no
matter how long are that way.
As for newsreader and an ISP, I use MSN as an ISP now for both webtv and my
pc. I hardly ever come here with the pc. (Hardly)
I have xnews (?) on the pc and have no inclination to learn how to use it
or any other newsreader after looking at the instructions. Newsreader has
done just fine for me for about five years now. I'm quite sure there are a
multitude of other great newsreader programs out there but there is a long
list of things I should learn about my pc before I go that route.
It must be the pagination.

This happens on some clients when they encounter a form feed char.
Form feed chars where one of the ways people would hide spoulers in
usenet posts.

And most of my earlier (and some of my later) stories have form-feeds
in them at page-breaks.

What are you using for email on your pc? (Or are you doing email on
your pc?) If you're using something like Outlook, it can do news as
well - (waits for the jeers from the crowd to die down) - hey, the goal
here is that you won't have to learn yet another new program just yet.
You can use the same interface for both.

You'll take an inch but you'd love a mile.
I connect with MSN wich is under what they call the one plan. That means I
get access for both my PC and my webtv for one price. That price btw is
lower than I was paying for webtv alone.
My web access and e-mail are all included. I do not use the program on my
pc (IE ?) along with other things I have not used yet. :-)
I believe that he who set it up for Sky installed Netscape or Mozilla.
Either of which will do news.

After two or three message exchanges with him, I've determined that
Uncle Sky does not use Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla Mail,
Netscape Communicator, Eudora, or any other dedicated e-mail reader.
He uses the built-in e-mail interface that comes with his MSN
account. I have something similar available under Comcast and use
it as a backdoor into the system to clear out clogs on the Comcrap
POP-3 server that prevent e-mail from downloading into my computer
Inbox.
My cousin uses something similar to access her Worldnet e-mail.
Apparently the major ISPs, and perhaps some or all of the minor
ones, have that type of e-mail account access. From what I've seen
that system does not provide Usenet access.
I hope that helps.

Yea. When I was with Earthlink they kept pushing their Total Access
software, but I refused to install it. When I switched to @home cable
they also wanted to install proprietary software which I refused. They
all seem to have something like that.

@Home was my first time with broadband. The installers put the @Home
software on my system and I had trouble from then until I had a system
crash and had to reinstall everything after "fdisk".
By then I knew not to put it on the system and have never used any
proprietary provider software.
This is a web-based e-mail interface built into the home page of MSN
and Comcast. You access it by entering your e-mail address and your
password. Very primitive, but it works.
