It's really too bad Webtv doesen't screen people before letting them
on the net. Here's a thought...maybe the optional keyboard was a bad
idea?

No it wasn't the typo, it was the fact that you posted an announcement
that we should take back the group or something from spammers. The
post was kinda stupid....but unless you understand the nature of how
spammers spam this group then you just won't get it. Being that you
are on webtv there is a very high chance you aren't aware of a lot of
things that go on, on the net and you don't understand that the net is
a complex society much like the one you live in, in which there are
many, many, many subtle spoken and unspoken rules and when you break
one....well...you look a little silly.

Most people who own computers and are on the net know a fair amount of
information about them and how things operate. They can also
understand these things a lot better because of their basic
understanding of how a computer functions and what not. As an example
picture some guy who suddenly gets the urge to be a pro golfer. So
instead of getting training, real golf clubs, etc, he goes out to the
miniature golf course cause he's getting a great deal at $2.00 per
game and he doesn't even need to buy real clubs.

I personally don't like webtv, I don't like them because they don't
really tell their users what they are getting into, and they don't put
any effort into educating, or training their users on what to expect,
proper netiquette, the do's and don'ts, etc, etc, etc. They push
these little boxes out by the millions to people who have never even
touched a computer much less operated one, and then put them in the
internet where 99% are a waste of bandwidth, and a constant annoyance.

Now I know you cannot see this from my perspective because of the fact
that you are on webtv. But it's much like in the way that AOL users
when they first started getting online would respond to 500 line posts
just to say, "me too." at the very bottom of the message and quote the
whole thing. I get on average 5 to 10 emails a day from webtv users
not just from the ab scene but from others, and they ask incredibly
annoying and bothersome questions, if they even ask a question.

I've gotten all sorts of strange e-mails. Everything from "I saw your
post, are you an adult baby?", to "I'm an adult baby can you please
send me some free diapers, etc, etc, etc." And I must say that it can
get VERY annoying, and VERY aggravating, At this point I've had to go
so far as to have any messages coming from webtv to my e-mail
automatically deleted. I'm not saying everyone on webtv is this way,
but certainly 99% of their users are.

Matthew
I do understand everything your saying and it was a silly thing to
post!!!But so what...after all it would be nice to have all diaper
related topics here though and save some space/bandwidth;
as it seems to me the spam is the wasted space, not webtv users. Try One
sometime to see what all they can do.
P.S. Ive seen you post things to others before
so I'm not offended at all by you!

You don't understand the nature of the spam though. You cannot stop
it. There simply is no way. If you were really good at hacking you
might be able to screw with them a little but there are just too many
of them and more pop up everyday. For a while yes we tried to push
the spammers out but we were simply overwhelmed. Their justification
is that since this is a sex related group they have every right to
post and there isn't much we can do about it (legally). Speaking in
terms of computers and the average user we can do nothing and to make
an announcement like you did is a little silly. It would be the
equivalent of saying, "hey there's a tank down there! Let's try and
stop it with this box of toothpicks!" You have to admit it sounds a
bit silly. There is a group that is not plagued by spam. The group
alt.fan.dean-stark.diaper-play since the subject has nothing to do
with sex no spammers post there.
